Upendo School

In 2006, Isabella Mwampamba started the Upendo Friends School in Tanzania, East Africa. In Swahili, Upendo means love. The school provides an English language education, two hot meals a day, school books and supplies, and a uniform for poor children who cannot afford it. Many of these children would not otherwise get any education.

Upendo school has grown from 8 students to 363 students in ten years. It is a full primary school for children age pre-school to grade 7. And the students are thriving – competing well on national exams. The school also supports 40 teachers and staff – all of whom depend on this job to support their families.

Eaglecom Foundation is committed to paying for most of the staff salaries, as well as books, food, and uniforms. The Foundation is also helping with the construction and other capital costs.

The school is growing and so are the expenses and we need your help to meet these rising costs.

Join us and help give these needy children the education, food and clothing they deserve. Together we can send these children to school and give them a future of opportunity and hope.

Please consider a tax deductible donation now. As a donor, we will send you pictures and profiles of the children you are helping at Upendo. And remember that 100% of your donation will go directly to support the children and school expenses – we have zero administrative or fundraising costs.
